HR

Our HR team are the people who help us shape our culture and recruit the talent we need to continue our growth and success as a business. A close-knit and friendly team, they also manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations and payroll just to name a few.

Finance

Managing all aspects of our financial operations, our Finance team are essential to our business operations. Working with the speed and accuracy you’d expect in a manufacturing-based organisation, they process a high volume of work every day and take responsibility for functions such as cash control, third-party payments and preparing financial reports for the senior management team.

Purchasing

Working closely with our global supply chain, it’s an exciting time to join our Purchasing team, with strong opportunities of career progression on offer as local buying team members help shape our new Giga1 development. Purchasing manages both direct and indirect commercial sourcing activities, so you’ll have the chance to either work directly on the raw materials sourcing, or indirect sourcing such as MRO, facilities management contracts. Supplier relationship management is key, so excellent communication skills are an essential part of this busy role.

As well as the day-to-day ordering we need to keep our plant running, our Purchasing team are in the process of setting up our Plant 2 supply chain, which means you’ll have the opportunity to play a hands-on role in the future of AESC. You’ll also get the chance to spend time on the shop floor, meeting suppliers and seeing the processes and products involved.

Production Control

Based in our collaborative open-plan office, Production Control work alongside our manufacturing departments to keep our processes running as efficiently as possible. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and controlling the four production areas in our plant and like all our departments, it’s a role that will continue to expand and develop as we work towards the launch of Plant 2.

IT

A job in IT at AESC is what you make of it, with a variety of areas to specialise in and the chance to become an expert in the huge spectrum of technologies we use here. Whether you’re working solving people’s IT problems, supporting our cutting-edge data centres, building your programming skillset using languages like SQL, C# & Java or working with enterprise MES systems, you’ll be able to steer your career in the direction you want it to go.

There are many opportunities to try out the new smart manufacturing technologies and working to create reliable processes in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment.

Supplier Quality Development & Advance Quality Planning

Working closely with Local, Regional and Global teams our SQD&AQE team collaborate with other AESC departments including R&D, Purchasing, Engineering from product and process concepts through production realisation.

Suppliers of raw material and parts are a key part of our our business and the SQD Engineers work alongside other departments during supplier selection and supplier project activities onsite at AESC and at the supplier manufacturing facilities.

Sales

Our commercially-minded and proactive Sales team are vital for ensuring we continue to build new customer relationships, and nurture existing ones. Those who succeed in this busy team have great communication skills and the ability to form connections with a variety of stakeholders. 

QA

Our Quality Assurance (QA) team are key to ensuring our products are world-class. Working cross-functionally across a number of departments, QA engineers get the chance to work with the latest technology at the coal face of our business.

Engineering

Our engineers are the innovators behind our technology. Working across a range of different departments they come together as a powerful force, shaping and influencing the future of our batteries and processes.
